International Week
Each January, the elementary school PTOs host International Week, teaching students about the culture and traditions of another country.
Planning for the 2024 International Week begins in October. Contact the Multicultural Committee to get involved.
2023 International Week in Israel
RES International Week, featuring Israel, had a lot of people working behind the scenes to make it a success.
First off, We appreciate ALL the students, their parents and staff who help make the Radnor School district, so exceptional and International week a success.
I would like to thank RES Principal Dr. Nancy Young, The PTO leadership, especially PTO President Elizabeth Krugler and VP Haley Erdlen, and the Multicultural Committee volunteers who put a lot of time and thought to the week: Jessica Barson, Maria Laura Russo, Annu Chandy, Shannon Chandy, Erin Brennan, Niela Hirsch, Victor Thang Nguyen, Ezgi Ergul, (and their kids and spouses).
Thank you to the previous International Week chair of several years, Ronia Eun, for her council, and Jen Orosco for designing the Passports.
Thank you for the donations and loans by restauranteur Michael Solomonov (gift cards), Gil Travel (gifts), Pucci Manuli (toys), Beth Razin at The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia (guidance/Gaga Court), Barrie Mittica at Philly Kaiserman JCC (pop up posters), and to Pro Martial Fit in Bryn Mawr for the video they made for us on Krav Maga/Self defense for kids and gift cards they donated.
Special special thanks to the Special Teachers that brought our curriculum to the students: Doug Novak (PE), Catherine Malatack (Wellness), Michele Williams (Music), Laura Pat (IDS), Sara Brenner (Library), and Kimberly Delone (Art).
Additional thanks to the classroom teachers for helping to bring Israel to our students.
Thank you to the Pot Luck volunteers and to the engineering/custodial staff at RES.

Multicultural Committee
The RES Multicultural Committee is an inclusive and diverse group of parents, centered on celebrating all cultures of the world, and appreciating the diversity in our own Radnor community.
Through committee meetings and social gatherings, we prepare and plan for International Week, and our Potluck Dinner, both held at the end of January.
Please join us! We invite RES parents, from all backgrounds, to contact the Multicultural Committee for more information.
